The secretariat has undertaken a management review to adapt itself to the enhanced implementation phase of the Convention. Stratos Inc. was commissioned by the Secretariat to assist the Executive Secretary in this process.

Audit Report

The final report on the audit of UNEP Secretariat to the Convention on Biological Diversity (SCBD) is available below. The audit was conducted in Montreal, Canada, from February to March 2006, by Mr. Obin Silungwe and Ms. Jaydene Kana of the Office of Internal Oversight Services of the the United Nations .

A draft of the report was distributed as a COP-8 information document (UNEP/CBD/COP/8/INF/44). Comments from the Executive Secretary were received in April 2006, and are reflected in the report, in italics.
