BCH Training Workshop
Dr Ahmed Djoghlaf welcomed delegates to the Biosafety Clearing-House training workshop for developing countries on Saturday morning in Curitiba.
“The Secretariat recognizes how important it is for you to be able to access and use the BCH in order to take informed decisions and to implement the Protocol,” he said.
“We are delighted to be able to offer this training for developing countries with the generous collaboration of the UNEP-GEF Biosafety Unit and their Regional Advisors for the BCH”.
Delegates from Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific Islands are attending the workshop, which offers training in how to access and use the BCH, how to fulfill legal obligations to provide information, and an opportunity to explore options for national participation in the global interconnected system that supports the BCH Central Portal.
