    Subject: Submission of First Regular National Reports
    Reference is made to my earlier notifications with respect to the submission of first regular national reports as called for in the relevant decisions of the Parties to the Protocol made in accordance with Article 33 of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety on monitoring and reporting. I would like to draw your attention to my last reminder in this regard (Notification no. SCBD/BCH/CG/ABw/60746, dated 15 November 2007, available at http://www.cbd.int/doc/notifications/2007/ntf-2007-145-bs-en.pdf).

    Subject: Translation of the Biosafety Clearing-House into the six official languages of the United Nations
    I am very pleased to announce that the Biosafety Clearing-House (BCH) is now accessible in all six of the official languages of the United Nations (i.e. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish). The translation has been completed for all public pages of the BCH Central Portal (http://bch.cbd.int/). The pages of the BCH Management Centre, only accessible to BCH account-holders to create and manage information, are also expected to be translated, following the revamping of this last section, by the end of 2008.
